| 08:24 ralfgro | morning |
| 08:24 ralfgro | we use fai to install our systems |
| 08:25 ralfgro | now we see problems with fai installs of ubuntu lucid systems with ext4 fs |
| 08:26 ralfgro | right after the install everything is fine, but the system doesn't boot |
| 08:26 ralfgro | this seems only to happen when we use reboot instead faireboot (don't ask) |
| 08:28 ralfgro | booting the client with a rescue system shows that the ext4 fs has many errors and in the end 135mb are moved to lost+found |
| 08:29 ralfgro | now my question: I know that faireboot should be used, because it correctly umounts everything ans stops the processes |
| 08:30 ralfgro | shoudn't a ext4 fs that is mounted as "/dev/sda2 on /target type ext4 (rw,noatime,barrier=1,data=ordered)" doesn't get screwed up like this? |

| 08:32 ralfgro | this only happens with ext4 and a 64bit kernel + reboot, not with 32bit |
