[16:04] ErKa (~keryell@92.90.20.200) left irc: Remote host closed the connection [20:59] anyone around? [21:30] yes [21:31] but it's weekend ;) [21:31] and nice weather [21:33] the error looks like you have no initrd [21:33] check the pxe boot setting if ramdisk is correct [21:44] Okay [21:44] So I am on to another issue [21:45] When I boot a client now, I amd trying to get natty installing from a debian server. I have created a new UBUNTU.tgz and I can see that it extracts it, but when fai gets to the updatebase... [21:45] It is using the wrong sources.list [21:45] I havd run it in debug which doesn't seem to show any fcopy sources.list [21:46] zach1: do you have "boot=live" in the boot args? [21:46] I have eliminated everythign I can think of, the rootcmd looks like it works fine [21:46] oz_: I don't, I couldn't figure out how it was trying to boot [21:47] it looked like when I tried to use boot=live, it was chaning the root nfs path or something [21:47] I probably misunderstnad that option [21:47] you configure it, decide how the machine shall boot [21:47] oz_: so what does that option do? [21:48] Also, any reason why the updatebase task would be using the wrong sources.list? If I kill fai and jump over to a new console, I can see that the sources.list is wrong, but the UBUNTU.tgz file I have is correct [21:49] nono, boot=live -> http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live-System [21:50] zach1: can you prove that your UBUNTU.tgz is extracted? [21:50] #that's the extracebase task iirc [21:51] Alright, I will check [21:51] extractbase, even :) [21:51] I'm out again [22:01] oz_: thanks, it looks like $basefile is getting set incorrectly in the extrbase task. Its set to /var/tmp/base.tgz [22:08] ErKa (keryell@keryell.pck.nerim.net) joined #fai. [22:10] actually, task_prepareapt blows away my apt configuration [22:15] not sure why I need that task at all actually [22:17] Where do I make use of skiptask() [22:17] In the configuration, or in /usr/lib/fai [22:43] BASE.var seemed to do it [00:00] --- Sun May 22 2011
