[14:47] good day [14:47] hi [14:48] I'm just playing around with fai, PXE boot is running quiet fine - booting the integrated kernel stops at "IP-config .... mtu 1500 RARP" [14:48] a hint where to search for mistakes, would be nice [14:49] do you have two network cards in this machine? [14:49] yep [14:50] but PXE takes the first (eth0) card and works fine [14:52] maybe the kernel enumerates the NIS's in different order, so eth0 becomes eth1. This is a common problem. There should be many mails concerning this issue. [14:53] Did you use fai-chboot -P ? [14:58] fai-server:~# fai-chboot -P [14:58] Unknown option: P [15:08] ok, then you have an older FAI version. [15:09] al (d@niel.cx) joined #fai. [15:09] HAve a look at http://fai-project.org/doc/man/fai-chboot.html [15:09] It also depends on the live-boot and initramfs-tools version. Newer version should handle multiple NIC's better. [15:10] Mrfai: what version is recommended? [15:15] the newest stable versions: http://fai-project.org/news/fai-3.4.html [15:18] oh hell [15:18] you should enable all network cards in bios [15:34] thanks man [15:47] justleen (~leen@rev-131-102.virtu.nl) left irc: Quit: Leaving.
