It's just too exhausting to install everything by hand each time I want to test GOsa on Squeeze. [01:16] I would like to see GOsa 2.6.11 (in development) make it into Squeeze because hopefully it will give FAI a GUI that actually works correctly. ;) [01:19] I welcome bug reports and patches. I did not test fai on squeeze, but I will in the future. Not before september, maybe in october. [01:19] ...although Benoit says 2.6.10 + FAI works for him... but noone else on #gosa (freenode) seems to be able to make it work. [01:19] that seems to be a problem of GOsa. I do not know much people using it. [01:20] I think part of the problem is documentation... which is what I've been working to fix. [01:23] I've also have been writing scripts to allow people to easily get a test installation working on a single box. So far I have GOsa, DHCP, DNS, Kolab, standalone Cyrus+Postfix, Nagios, Netatalk, Asterisk, Kerberos, Squid and Samba+PDC management documented and scripted... and I'm stuck at FAI and OPSI. [01:24] Welllllll... not very well documented... documentation consists of lots of comments in my scripts... unfortunately there are lots of FIXMEs yet. :} [01:26] fai: 3 lange committed revision 5946 to 7 fai: fix wrong path [01:26] fai: 3 lange committed revision 5947 to 7 fai: next beta [01:27] I think the Gonicus guys are terrible with documenting things, and Cajus can be a bit abrasive. Benoit seems to be much more helpful, but he's working on lots of things plus he seems to have become the default communication channel to the Gonicus guys. [01:31] If I saw another project that supported as many technologies and was as friendly to end users I would look at it.
