[09:48] Mrfai: Several weeks ago you pointed me to some packages for FAI on lucid at http://www.hpc2n.umu.se/staff/torkel/fai/ stating that they were untested. I tested them, but they fail shortly after mounting NFS and doing some file transfers. May be udev related, but not sure. Is there anything that you can say that might help me further along? [09:50] I need to have FAI running on Lucid, but not much luck so far.... [09:51] Please ask on the linux-fai mailing list. We had a FAO developers workshop last week, and people will work on building ubuntu packages for FAI, so they need your feedback. Maybe they will already have a fix. [10:59] Thanks I will try that. The fstab is working properly, but I did have to change it to use "fstabkey:uuid", otherwise it had the same issue. [12:04] mgoetze: The kernel version on the Debian server is "2.6.26-2-686 (Debian 2.6.26-22lenny1)" [12:07] I just checked the logs and setup-storage was used, and it detected the drive a /dev/hda when doing the partitioning [12:07] as /dev/hda* [12:19] mgoetze: The kernel running in the install environment is "2.6.26-2-486 i686 GNU/Linux" [12:19] fai: 3 lange committed revision 5844 to 7 fai: make-fai-nfsroot: fix typo, remove redundant rm command [12:21] Mrfai: atomr patches please :) [12:21] atomar* [12:22] needs to be fixed too ;) [12:24] mika: this is an atomar patch. I just didn't create a seperate line in the changelog. I appendended things after the comma [12:25] Mrfai: ah, typofix in the changelog - i see :) [12:26] Mrfai: though i've no idea how we could work with separate branches and sharing commits between them if both sides have to adjust debian/changelog in a different way, hmm [12:27] I can have new lines in changelog for every single patch if you need this. [12:28] i've no idea whether svn can handle such merges, but lets see, i've to further investigate on this topic anyway [14:01] \sh (~shermann@nat.de.netviewer.com) joined #fai. LEM? :) [14:14] <\sh> hacman: post it to the list ;) I would like to hear some good proposals so we can decide together the name :) [14:19] hmm... rethinking this wasn't a good idea... this name doesn't imply the usage of a web-interface... [14:19] <\sh> hacman: the web interface would be only one possibility...you can write another frontend app for this...jsonrpc/xmlrpc is your friend ;) [14:21] \sh: if a ppa is available, please announce it on linux-fai or linux-fai-devel so other can test it. [14:21] Delgul: now there's a FAI ubuntu package.
