| 05:44 theBro | helo, I am have started to have problems with fai installations lately as the installation runs out of disk space |
| 05:45 theBro | is it possible to somehow install packages in steps or select how much memory is used for the virtual file system during installation |
| Nick change: the-dude1 -> the-dude |
| 06:24 oz_ | theBro: does http://www.hackerboard.de/linux-unix/33180-apt-get-fehler-e-dynamic-mmap-ran-out-room.html help you out? |
| 06:24 oz_ | PT::APT::Cache-Limit is your solution /me thinks |
| 06:29 theBro | oz_: i'll try that.. (do you know where to configure that with fai..would save some time if i didn't have to dig aroudn) |
| ErKa (~keryell@212-198-242-212.rev.numericable.fr) joined #fai. |
| 06:30 oz_ | read the page...apt.conf is the file you need to modify |
| 06:34 theBro | oz_: the problem is not the apt cache size but my rootfs gets full |
| 06:35 oz_ | 07:45 < theBro> is it possible to somehow install packages in steps or select how much memory is used for the virtual file system during installation |
| 06:35 oz_ | yes, so this could fix this. |
| 06:36 oz_ | I had that problem, too |
| 06:36 oz_ | the cache is actually build up on the disk |
| 06:39 theBro | i'll give it a try then |

| 09:55 Sp4rKy | any idea why my classes in ADDCLASSES kernel param are not used ? |
| 09:56 Sp4rKy | they are in variables.log |
| 09:56 Sp4rKy | but that's all, the corresponding scripts seems not to be called |
| 10:09 Mrfai | have a look at the log files. |
| tempel (~mettler@dsl-62-220-14-162.berlikomm.net) joined #fai. |
| 10:10 Sp4rKy | mhh ,it seems it's because I am in debug mode |
| 10:10 Sp4rKy | and fai 3.2 |
| 10:11 tempel | hola! |
| 10:11 tempel | 3.4~beta1+experimental15 : during setup-storage i get: Use of uninitialized value $this_mp in string eq at /usr/share/fai/setup-storage//Fstab.pm line 146. |
| 10:12 tempel | right after tune2fs, fyi... |
| 10:14 Mrfai | Sp4rKy: ADDCLASSES was added in FAI 3.3 |
| 10:14 Sp4rKy | ok :) |
| 10:14 Sp4rKy | I'm upgrading to experimentral repositories :) |
| 10:21 Mrfai | I would use the lenny repository from university of cologne. It has version 3.3.5. You do not need to use experimental. |
| 10:22 Sp4rKy | huuu |
| 10:23 Sp4rKy | hmm indeed ... |
| 10:23 Sp4rKy | but on my fai boot I still have "fai 3.2.17~lenny1" |
| Action: Sp4rKy guess there is something to update |
| 10:24 Mrfai | http://www.informatik.uni-koeln.de/fai/download/ |
| 10:24 Mrfai | this explain which line to add to sources.list |
| 10:28 Sp4rKy | ok, upgraded to 3.2.17 (regarding the header in fai.log) |
| 10:28 Sp4rKy | but it seems I still have the same issue |
| 10:29 Mrfai | Sp4rKy: you should upgrade to 3.3.5 |
| 10:29 Sp4rKy | packages are 3.4~beta1 (experimental) |
| 10:30 Sp4rKy | except fai-client which is 3.3.5 |
| 10:30 Sp4rKy | but in the log on my fai -installed client, I can see "FAI 3.2.17~lenny1" |
| 10:30 Sp4rKy | I remade a fai-setup, but maybe it is not enough ? |
| 10:32 Mrfai | check your sources.list (there are at least two of them) |
| 10:33 Sp4rKy | /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/fai/apt/sources.list ? |
| 10:38 Mrfai | yep |

| 12:24 tklassen | Hallo |
| 12:24 tklassen | mgoetze da? |

| 13:24 tklassen | habe noch größere Baustellen |
