I realise this might sound a little wacky, but they're very happy with the way FAI works and wondered if we could deploy windows using the same system. I realise there's probably a million better ways to do it, but thought I'd ask [11:06] Ahh, just read the wiki and it seems like it's possible to populate unattended using FAI classes.. interesting! [11:50] While I'm on the subject too, what about RHEL, should work shouldn't it.. [11:51] yeah, it should. i haven't gotten around to it yet because i haven't had time to setup a system for building rhel and centos chroots [11:56] I guess a bit of testing needs to be done. We're currently using FAI for internal systems. I work for an ISP and the hosting department want to replace the (broken) in-house provisioning tool with something that works :) [11:57] .. if we can use one unified tool, that's extensible, that would be fantastic [11:57] here we're using fai both for internal systems and hosted debian/ubuntu customer systems ;) [12:11] not fai related, but has anybody experience with fully automatic install of freebsd? [13:33] Hi, I think I need some help with setup-storage, even with debuggging enabled I don't see the problem. [13:34] It just tells me: INTERNAL ERROR in setup-storage: Invalid device /dev/sdy1 [13:34] /dev/sdy is there (I can query it via smartmontools) but sdy1 is missing (as I think setup-storage still needs to create it) [14:04] allee-k__ (~allee-k@alleehol.mpe.mpg.de) left irc: Ping timeout: 480 seconds [14:09] allee-k__ (~allee-k@alleehol.mpe.mpg.de) joined #fai.
