13:50 stockholmcan i run a "do this once before you start" command?
13:50 stockholmi want to install the backports key
13:50 stockholmbefore running the softupdate
13:53 mgoetzestockholm: which version of fai?
13:53 stockholmfai --version
13:53 stockholm/usr/sbin/fai: unrecognized option `--version'
13:53 stockholmTerminating...
13:53 stockholm :-)
13:53 mgoetzedpkg -l fai-client ;)
13:54 stockholm  Installed: 3.2.19
13:54 stockholmi use apt-cache policy ...
13:54 stockholmi should pick up dpkg -l
13:54 mgoetzethat's a strange version to have installed
13:54 stockholmwhy?
13:55 mgoetzebecause it's newer than the one in lenny but otherwise rather old
13:55 stockholmit had the features i wanted when i build it
13:55 mgoetzeah
13:55 stockholmit does not have the key feature yet
13:55 mgoetzeright, so you'll have to write a hook
13:56 stockholmi have a class FAI_SOFTUPDATE
13:56 stockholmi can hook into that
13:57 stockholmbut it needs to happen before it tries to update its packagelest
13:57 stockholmlist
13:58 mgoetzei'm not sure whether softupdate does task_updatebase... anyway i guess you'll want either updatebase or instsoft
13:58 stockholmis the hook run before the task? or at the beginning at least?
13:58 mgoetzehooks are run before a task
13:58 stockholmneat
14:19 oz__jay.
14:19 oz__just testing our windoze unattended install...
14:19 oz__the office updates take longer than a full-fledged Debian install
14:20 oz__not to talk abut OS and Servicepack crap install
14:28 Mrfaistockholm: search in the fai-guide for asc:
14:28 MrfaiFiles with class names contain lists of software packages to be installed or removed. Files named *.asc are added to the key list of apt.
14:28 Mrfaithis is in package_config
14:28 Mrfaiso, just save your backports key into a file called backports.asc, and it will be added
14:30 mgoetzeMrfai: yes but that wasn't available in 3.2.19 afair
14:32 Mrfaistockholm: you may want to "backport" those three lines into your FAI version.
15:06 stockholmi consider going to a newer fai altogether
15:43 mgoetzeMrfai: we've just noticed that the /etc/kernel-img.conf from simple examples is quite different from any modern default install, especially in that update-grub isn't called automatically when kernels are updated
15:49 Mrfaiyou can file a bug report or just send me an email containing the changes you propose.
15:50 mgoetzeok, i will look into it and file a bug describing the changes i implemented

16:22 memeHi
16:22 mgoetzehi

20:43 jetolehey guys, I'm trying to get fai working using boot from pxe/nfs however when the system boots, I see the strings "Begin: Running /scripts/nfs-premount", "Done." "mount: Device or resource busy" go by a lot of times in a loop before falling out of it and droping me to busybox
20:44 jetoledoes anyone know how to solve this?

22:21 mgoetzejetole: never seen that. have you tried doing a tcp dump on the nfs server to see whether packets are arriving there?
22:59 uchimatashould It be possible to log in via ssh at that moment? than you could try to manually debug the mount
