[16:11] Hi all, setup_storage (1.0.3) is failing when trying to create a LV of around 12TB in size. Is there any limitations that you are aware of [16:12] This is the disk_config http://pastebin.ca/1714509 [16:12] Works fine normally on smaller RAID arrays [16:13] I knwo that the maximum volume size can be 8EB in 2.6, so I'm aware that's not the issue.. maybe I've run out of physical extents though? [16:13] if so, how to fix? [16:19] ErKa (keryell@dhcp3.info.enstb.org) left irc: Ping timeout: 480 seconds [16:31] Joelio: by default msdos partition tables are created, which don't support partitions greater than 2tb in size [16:38] siggg (~jean@tra78-3-82-244-85-196.fbx.proxad.net) left irc: Quit: Leaving. [16:50] http://www.informatik.uni-koeln.de/fai/doc/man/setup-storage.html [16:52] yea, I'm on that now Mrfai, just trying to work out where to put GPT [16:52] ahh disklabel:gpt [16:52] :) [17:03] Mrfai (~lange@suenner.informatik.uni-koeln.de) left irc: Quit: leaving [17:07] Does the order matter in which the configuration is defined on the disk_config line? I'm getting a variable error now from setup_storage [17:07] not really... show us your format.log maybe? [17:08] will do [17:25] allee-k (~allee-k@p5B0DF0EC.dip.t-dialin.net) left irc: Ping timeout: 480 seconds [00:00] --- Tue Dec 15 2009
