I discovered a bug similar to one reported where vol_id -u returns no UUID on a swap device. In the old report, it was due to needing to run "mdadm --zero-superblock ". In my case, the device had never been part of a raid array. I solved the problem with "mke2fs " followed by "mkswap ". [20:15] A subsequent run of an FAI install completed the partitioning. [20:16] There was talk of adding the zero-superblock to setup_storage. I also adding mke2fs for swap devices makes sense?
