[12:03] hello [12:04] I have a question about the debian mirror that can be created with fai [12:04] I used the script fai-mirror and it all worked fine [12:05] but, how can i update this repository and how do the security packages come to the mirror? [12:10] i don't know this fai-mirror thingy, but aith aptproxy you wouldn't need to ask those questions ;) [12:25] siggg (~jean@91-172-140-128.rev.libertysurf.net) joined #fai. [12:30] hm... do you use aptproxy then? I will have a look at that, thanks. [12:30] Does no one know how to do it with fai-mirror? [12:38] yeah i use aptproxy, very easy to set up [12:59] could you suggest me a manual for aptproxy? And can you also just download the packages that are needed for the specific classes with aptproxy? [13:38] bayoffire: as the name says, it's a proxy - so it will only download packages that you actually request - but when the 2nd, 3rd, etc. server of the same class requests those packages, they will still be cached [13:39] ok, that sounds great! thanks for this! [13:39] bayoffire: you don't need much of a manual, just edit /etc/apt-proxy/apt-proxy-v2.conf (it comes with comments), then put "deb http://server:9999/debian stable main" or whatever in your sources list [13:41] ok. [13:41] is this proxy also able to cache security updates? [13:41] yeah you can configure various sources and then add a line like "deb http://server:9999/debian-security stable/updates main" [13:42] (i also do backports with mine) [13:54] thanks a lot! [13:54] sure, np [14:10] mfl (~mfl@adonis.fnb.maschinenbau.tu-darmstadt.de) joined #fai.
