[17:11] <zirpu> is there a fix for the grub install problem of not adding the kernels to the /boot/grub/menu.lst file?  right now i'm kludging it with hard coded additions of the current kernel.  
[17:12] <zirpu> update-grub just never adds the kernel stanzas. very weird, and no debugging info.
[17:20] <zirpu> it's an ubuntu bug with their 'ucf' system. found a work around.
