15:12 snoopI have new pc and they don't work with the default kernel of fai (ubuntu 2.6.18 feisty), i try to add the last kernel (ubuntu 2.6.24-23-i386 hardy) for my fai install and i have the follow error message : "socket: Address family not supported by protocol"  any idea ?
15:13 snoopi have this message too after : /init: .: 1:Can't open /tmp/net-eth0.conf

16:00 snoop<schurig> : can you send your /srv/tfp/pxelinux.cfg/something /etc/exports /srv/fai/nfsroot/etc/fai/fai.conf
16:02 snoopkönnen Sie Ihre /srv/tftp/pxelinux.cfg/etwas /etc/exports /srv/fai/nfsroot/etc/fai/fai.conf
16:07 schurigsnoop: I found it out by myself: the nfsroot=xxx:/a/b/c overrides the DHCP-provided rootpath, there was a typo there, but the kernel showed only the dhcp-provided one, which didn't had a typo
16:08 lazyb0ysnoop: I'm not so sure about the quality of FAI in feisty. if you insist on running on ubuntu as server, I'd recommned using hardy or intrepid
16:08 schurigsnoop: now fai booted, but it didn't find $FAI_ACTION, but it's in /srv/tftp/pxelinux.cfg/etwas
16:11 schurigah, it says FAI_ACTION=ins, kernel-command-line-too-long error
16:36 snoopi have not the same argument config on feisty for FAI_ACTION report to doc, i must go for my work see you

16:47 rgsteele||workWhen you declare a global variable in class/DEFAULT.var, do you have to export it?
16:48 rgsteele||workOr does FAI take care of that.
16:58 lazyb0yrgsteele||work: not sure without testing it, but I'd guess if you do it as shown in the default examples, you should have it everywhere
16:59 rgsteele||workI thought so too, doesn't seem to work.
