I'm just searching for the file where the definition of the server [13:41] is, where ssh puts fai-logs to after installation. I dont know why but [13:41] fai tries to put them on aother server that it is running on. [13:41] fai.conf [13:42] beyond /etc or /srv/nfsroot [13:43] /etc on the client, so below /srv/nfsroot [13:44] how's the variable called? [13:48] LOGSERVER or FAI_LOGSERVER, i think [13:49] LOGSERVER or SERVER is used. HAve a look at variables.log, ther you find all your variables that are used during isntalltion. So good for debugging [13:56] heh, there is no variable like LOGSERVER in /srv/fai/nfsroot/etc/fai/fai.conf at all. Might be thats the Problem :) [13:59] CXO_Tobi: so, your SERVER should receive the logs, if it's configured to do so [13:59] you can set LOGSERVER in a class/*.var script [13:59] check if LOGUSER is also set [14:00] CXO_Tobi: and on the client, logs should be under /var/log/fai/ [14:00] or is that only if logserver is not defined? [14:01] yes, i just want the logfiles to be saved on the logserver. [14:01] they go fine in the /var/log/fai/current [14:01] on the installed client [14:14] yes! thats it. thanks a lot :) [15:54] Mrfai (~lange@suenner.informatik.uni-koeln.de) left irc: Quit: leaving [16:51] ErKa (keryell@outside-dhcp26.rennes.enst-bretagne.fr) left irc: Ping timeout: 480 seconds [17:28] alvinc (~alvin.cur@office-ca.emaillabs.com) joined #fai.
